Confidence Labs makes three practice apps: Rehearse – Sales, Rehearse – Interview, and Rehearse: Social Anxiety. The short version, true across all three: your voice is used only to power the conversation you asked for and is not stored as a recording, we don't sell your data, and payment details never reach us. The details for each app are below, followed by a section about this website itself.
What all three apps have in common
- Accounts. You sign in with an email address, managed by Firebase Authentication (Google). Passwords are encrypted and never stored in plain text.
- Voice audio. When you speak during a practice session, your audio is transcribed in real time by OpenAI's speech-to-text and immediately discarded. We do not store, retain, or have access to your voice recordings.
- AI processing. Conversation text is processed by third-party AI services (OpenAI and Anthropic) to generate your practice partner's replies, and Fish Audio converts reply text into the voice you hear. Requests go through our secure server; each provider receives only what it needs, and OpenAI and Anthropic do not use API data to train their models.
- Subscriptions. Purchases are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play together with RevenueCat. We never see your payment card details.
- No selling, no ads. We do not sell your personal information and do not use your conversations to advertise to you.
- Children. The apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Rehearse – Sales
In addition to the common practices above:
- Account information: email address, first and last name.
- Subscription status: account tier (Free, Trial, or Pro) and trial sessions used.
- Conversation content: the text of your practice conversations is processed in real time and is not stored on our servers — it exists only during your active session.
- Document upload (Practice a Real Account): if you upload a company PDF, it is read once to build the practice scenario and never stored. The file itself is not sent to any AI provider; only the extracted text is used as session context.
- Usage analytics: stored locally on your device, not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly choose to share it. You can clear it in the app or by uninstalling.
Rehearse – Interview
Rehearse – Interview works the same way as Rehearse – Sales:
- Account information: email address, first and last name.
- Subscription status: account tier and trial sessions used.
- Conversation content: processed in real time, not stored on our servers; conversations exist only during your active session.
- Usage analytics: stored locally on your device, not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly choose to share it.
Rehearse: Social Anxiety
In addition to the common practices above:
- Account information: email address (Firebase Authentication, or Google Sign-In if you use it).
- Profile answers: the situations, challenges, and goals you select during onboarding, used to generate your personalized practice plan.
- Practice data: generated scenarios, session history and statistics, confidence check-ins, and real-life challenge progress — retained while your account is active so your progress is preserved.
- Documents you upload: parsed on our own server; the file is not sent to any AI provider, and only the extracted text is used as session context.
- Third-party AI disclosure: before your first session the app shows exactly what is sent to OpenAI (your voice audio, for transcription), Anthropic (conversation text, scenario, and goals, to generate replies), and Fish Audio (the AI partner's reply text, for speech) and asks for your permission.
Not a medical service. Rehearse: Social Anxiety is a practice tool, not mental health treatment, and conversations are not reviewed by clinicians. If you are experiencing clinical anxiety, depression, or another mental health condition, please consult a licensed professional.
